1. Mariners Point Golf Center
Foster City, CA
The unofficial “everyone goes here” range.
If there were a “Most Popular Kid in School” award for driving ranges, Mariners Point would win it. This place is ALWAYS buzzing – including the golf balls, which are surprisingly clean and actually look new.
Every single bay is equipped with Toptracer, and the setup is super intuitive.
Why I Like It:
Clean balls (yes, that matters).
Mats in great shape.
Bays are shaped evenly around the range, so you can see targets clearly from pretty much anywhere.
Gorgeous ocean view + you can watch planes landing (free entertainment).
It’s connected to a short 9-hole par 3 course, so you can warm up at the range and go straight into a round (or two).
Note: It’s a wedges, short irons, and short-game kind of course.
If you're in the SF Peninsula area, Mariners Point is pretty much the spot.
2. Mission Hill of Hayward Driving Range
Hayward, CA
Clean, modern, and kind of underrated.
Mission Hills has been upgrading everything – new mats, refreshed turf, simulators… it’s like the glow-up we all wish we had after 2020. They’ve got Toptracer, a 2-story setup, and many bays, so you never really have trouble finding a spot.
Why I Like It:
Newer mats + updated artificial turf everywhere.
2 floors of bays = less waiting, more golfing.
Two chipping greens (one with a bunker) + two putting greens – solid short game area.
Balls are picked up constantly, about every 30 minutes.
A Few Things to Know:
Toptracer has an hourly fee here, unlike other ranges where it's free.
The range opens after the course does, so don’t expect to warm up at 6am.
Overall, Mission Hills is clean, modern, and great for East Bay golfers who want a reliable place to practice.
3. Corica Park Golf Course
Alameda, CA
If you live in the East Bay, this is your home base.
The driving range is straightforward, not overly designed, and easy to get into whether you're warming up or just squeezing in a quick session. Its golf course is enormous – two full 18-hole courses and a surprisingly nice par-3 course.
Why I Like It:
Super convenient for East Bay residents.
Toptracer availability on the range.
There’s no fancy architecture or dramatic views here, but it gets the job done. Think practical, not luxurious. Corica is the reliable driving range that gets in early and handles business without the fuss.
